For Admission : Scan Copy of Student's Admit card(10th level), Mark Sheet(10+2 level), Aadhaar card, Caste certificate (if applicable), BPL certificate (if applicable), Disability certificate (if applicable), Certificate for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) (if applicable)

G.O NO-804-Edn(CS) dated 13/05/2019 এই সরকারী নির্দেশ অনুসারে সকল B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com (Hons & Gen) প্রথম বর্ষে CBCS মাধ্যমে অনলাইনে আবেদনকারীকে জানানো হচ্ছে যে ভর্তি সংক্রান্ত আবেদনের সময় ভূল তথ্য দিয়ে আবেদন করলে এবং পরবর্তী সময়ে ভর্তি সংক্রান্ত কোনো তথ্য ভূল হিসাবে প্রমানিত হলে তার ভর্তি তৎক্ষণাৎ বাতিল বলে গণ্য হবে ।

Read carefully all the available courses and elective subject combinations for Honours and General courses for the session 2020-2021.

A candidate can apply for maximum of FOUR courses in a single application form.

Candidates who passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination in 2018 to 2020 with minimum five approved subjects (each of 100 as Full Marks and prescribed pass marks) only are allowed to apply for admission, provided ‘Course-wise Eligibility Criteria’ are fulfilled.

Business Mathematics will not be considered in lieu of Mathematics at (10 + 2) level.

Aggregate is taken as total marks of BEST FOUR SUBJECTS excluding Environment Studies.

Candidates passing from Open School or from Council/Board/Institution that Government of West Bengal does not recognize are not allowed to submit on-line application. If still submitted, the candidate will remain liable personally.

Admission for the applicants with Vocational courses in 10+2 level are subjected to the approval of the Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, fetching approval from the University is exclusively applicant’s personal liability.

All the admission will be provisional subject to the full fillment of University Admission rules and Registration Criteria.

Candidature of an applicant will outright be cancelled (at any stage) if the data given in the On-Line Application Form are found false.

Application Fees is waived off by Govt. Order.

Amount can be Deposited By Payment Gateway also Provided with Admission Portal. A transaction charge will be added by payment Gateway as mentioned below.

Pay-U-Money Charge: For Debit Card 0.75%(for upto Rs.2000) and 1%(for above Rs.2000)+ST; For Credit Card 2%+ST; For NetBanking Rs.23

Application fees once deposited can not be refunded.

Merit List and date of counseling will be published in the Admission and College Web-Portal.

Admission will be made strictly on the basis of Merit.

All the fields in the on-line application are to be filled with correct data CAUTIOUSLY because the scope of correction of data will be ceased once the application is submitted.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks obtained at pre-qualifying examination shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate.

However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education and Environmental Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.

For HONOURS COURSE a candidate must have obtained :

minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject/related subject in 10+2 level, will be eligible. In case of a student willing to apply for a subject, which he/she didn’t study at 10+2 level, then the candidate(s) obtaining 45% or above marks in aggregate will be eligible to apply. In case of Geology, mathematics marks of H.S will be considered for merit point calculation. Also, the students must have pass mark in other science (chemistry, physics) subjects in H.S. In case of Sociology, sociology/english marks in 10+2 will be considered for merit point calculation.

For GENERAL COURSE a candidate must have obtained :

minimum of Pass marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination.

Students applying for admission with Geology or Mathematics Honours Courses must have Pure Science in their 10+2 level.

Candidates applying for admission with Santali Honours/General Course must have Santali/Bengali/Sanskrit/English as a subject in their 10+2 level and proficiency in Santali Language. Students passed out with Santali fron non-recognised boards/organisation will not be eligible for admission.

The candidates passing various Vocational level courses at the 10+2 level will be considered for admission against not more than 10% of the total intake capacity for any subject in any college under this University. Such students will not be eligible for admission if his/her average percentage score is less than the percentage obtained by the last selected candidate (securing lowest score) passing from any Indian conventional board.

Other than this the applicants must follow the admission guidelines and criteria provided by the SKBU (please follow the link provided in this website). Violation of any one of these criteria will automatically reject the application for admission to the desired courses.

MERIT LIST INDEX CALCULATION CRITERIA

FOR HONOURS COURSES

Aggregate of Best Four marks+subject/related subject marks in H.S (10+2) will be considered. While preparing merit list, in case of same index number the priority will be selected first by comparing related Subject Marks in H.S. Exam. and then on the basis of English mark and then seniority by virtue of Date of Birth

FOR GENERAL COURSES

Agrregate of Best Four marks secured in H.S.(10+2) Examination will be considered. While preparing merit list, in case of same index number the priority will be selected on the basis of English mark and then seniority by virtue of Date of Birth
